Nelson Atkins Art Museum

Earlier this week on Wednesday, my mom, my cousin Connor, and I went to the Nelson Atkins Art museum in Kansas City. We started out out eating at the small cafe in the museum where I had an awesome Grilled Chicken wrap served with a chocolate chip cookie.

We viewed an exhibit that held the original rules of basketball typed up by James Naismith, the inventor of the game. We found a ton of sculptures. Some of them dated back to 500 A.D in the Asian section. Some were more modernistic. There was also some fancy woodwork on cabinets and dressers. My cousin and I were very interested in some of George Caleb Bingham's artwork and Thomas Hart Benton's work. Mostly because I did a research project for Comm. Arts on George Caleb Bingham and Thomas Hart Benton's work is pretty cool. We finally made our way over to the contemporary side of the museum where I saw my favorite painting of all. It was called "Baseball" by Andy Warhol (as seen above).
That was pretty much it for our trip to the art museum. All in all, it was a great day!

What Gets Me Through Every Day

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -Phillipians 4:13

The reason I think about this verse everyday is because I know I can do all things through
Him because he gives me the strength to do them. That is why I trust Him to help me get through the day everyday.
